What kind of experience do you aim to create for people in your classes? I hope to help people feel a sense of peace and presence during the class, and leave feeling more connected to and confident in their bodies.
What role does movement play in your life, both in and outside of yoga? Movement is such a fundamental aspect of the human experience, and I believe we all deserve to feel the joy of self-expression through movement.

What kind of experience do you aim to create for people in your classes? I aim to create a safe, fun, accessible and empowering movement meditation that inspires folks practicing with me to turn inwards. My hope is that together we can build upon the physical, mental and psychological safety required to fully be present in our bodies and in silence with our minds.
What role does movement play in your life, both in and outside of yoga? Movement has always played a therapeutic and playful role in my life. Having two athletic and active parents has normalized intentional sweating as an everyday practice in my life. Burning off excess energy helps me manage my emotions, clear my mind and feel freer in my body. Movement is a great way to build my self-trust and confidence while having fun, what more can I say?

What kind of experience do you aim to create for people in your classes? I aim to create an experience of movement, breath, joy, and connection. In this, I bring the energy of decolonization, which is to meet yourself where you are without judgment or shame, without pressures of perfectionism, and with Indigenous healing values. These fundamental values are love, respect, humility, courage, wisdom, honesty, and trust. We also acknowledge the cyclical nature of life and ourselves, holding space for where we are on that day and learning how to recognize and respect that.
What role does movement play in your life, both in and outside of yoga? As a wholisitic and Indigenous chiropractor, I know movement is our medicine. Movement keeps the body strong, mind clear, and spirit open. It is the pathway to harmony within ourselves, to each other, and to the world. I'm so grateful to yoga for the wholistic ways of life and vitality it teaches. It is a beautiful and sacred ancient Indian practice of alignment, interconnection, and community action. These have educated me deeply on how we show up in the world for our collective liberation, healing, and empowerment.

What kind of experience do you aim to create for people in your classes? I want students in my class to feel comfortable and empowered. My classes are choice-based and trauma-informed, where people are encouraged to listen to their needs first. I give a lot of options and explain each one, so students can decide what feels best for them in that moment. No one knows your body better than you. However you decide to move (or not!), regardless of what it looks like, if it's comfortable for you it's always a good choice!
How do you enjoy moving your body, on or off the mat? On the mat, I gravitate towards practices where I don't move that much at all! My movement practice is very much focused on slowing down lately. Think - restful Yin or slow flow. My favourite way to move off the mat is taking walks! If you know me you know that I can walk for hours, especially if I'm in nature. -

What do you hope students take away from your classes—physically, mentally, or otherwise? I hope that after taking my yoga classes, students feel grateful for their bodies and their ability to practice - I invite my students to meet their practice the way they are, and grow from there.
How do you enjoy moving your body, on or off the mat? I enjoy exploring what my body is capable of, whether its yoga on the mat or exploring the beautiful nature off the mat through climbing mountains or swimming in the lakes. The possibilities are endless.

What kind of experience do you aim to create for people in your classes? When people attend my class, I would like them to feel like I/we have created a sacred space for them to be seen, supported, and celebrated in every shade of their journey. Creating a tribe which nurtures connection, authenticity and energy sharing through breath and movement.
What role does movement play in your life, both in and outside of yoga? Movement plays the role of protector in my life. Both on and off the mat, it supports my mental and physical health, keeping me strong, grounded, and resilient. It helps me manage stress and reminds me that listening to my body and intuition will never steer me wrong. Movement is also my anchor, it brings me back to balance when life feels chaotic, empowers me to shift my energy, and creates space for healing, clarity and joy.
